I have always liked Loretta Lynn very much (as has Jeff) but have been really into her since Van Lear Rose came out.
In July 2007, we found ourselves at Loretta Lynn's plantation home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee
and, to our chagrin, we found out we had missed her playing a show at her home
by two days. So when we found out she was coming to Massachusetts, we just had to go.
Strangely, we bought tickets on Tuesday for a show on that Sunday. And we got front row seats.
Not sure how that happened exactly but it was really meant to be.
And the lady is phenomenal.
